 The Community Health & Wellness Support Program at United Swahili Refugee Women and Youth Empowerment Center (USRWYEC) promotes healthier and more resilient refugee and immigrant communities by improving access to health education, preventive care, wellness resources, and supportive services. The program addresses barriers to healthcare access through culturally responsive outreach, community education, and partnerships with healthcare providers and local organizations.

Building healthier communities requires collaboration, compassion, and shared commitment. USRWYEC welcomes individuals, healthcare professionals, organizations, businesses, and community members to join our Community Health & Wellness Support Program and help improve access to health resources for refugee and immigrant families.

Ways to Get Involved

  • Volunteer Your Time – Support health education workshops, outreach activities, wellness events, and community resource programs.
  • Share Your Expertise – Healthcare professionals, educators, and wellness advocates can provide training, screenings, and health information.
  • Become a Community Partner – Collaborate with USRWYEC to expand access to healthcare, prevention programs, and supportive services.
  • Host a Health Workshop – Share knowledge on nutrition, maternal health, mental wellness, preventive care, and healthy lifestyles.
