The Refugee Youth Leadership & Mentorship Program empowers refugee and immigrant youth (ages 12–24) to become confident leaders, successful students, and engaged community members. Through mentorship, leadership development, academic support, career exploration, life skills training, civic engagement, and workforce readiness, the program equips young people with the knowledge, confidence, and opportunities to achieve their full potential while fostering resilience, inclusion, and long-term success.

USRWYEC's Youth Programs & Activities empower refugee and immigrant youth to develop leadership, confidence, academic success, and life skills in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment. Through mentorship, education, recreation, and community engagement, we help young people build the knowledge, resilience, and opportunities they need to become successful leaders and active contributors to their communities.

Community Service and Youth-Led Initiatives: USRWYEC empowers refugee and immigrant youth to identify community needs, design solutions, and lead meaningful service projects that create positive change. Through volunteerism, neighborhood improvement activities, civic engagement, environmental stewardship, cultural events, and peer-led outreach, youth develop leadership skills, teamwork, responsibility, and a lifelong commitment to serving their communities while making a lasting impact.

Inspiring refugee and immigrant youth to become confident, resilient, educated, and community-minded leaders who are prepared for higher education, meaningful careers, and lifelong success.

At United Swahili Refugee Women and Youth Empowerment Center (USRWYEC), our mission is to empower refugee and immigrant youth to become confident, resilient, and compassionate leaders by providing opportunities for education, mentorship, leadership development, career readiness, and community engagement. We are committed to helping young people discover their potential, build essential life skills, embrace their cultural identity, and achieve academic, personal, and professional success. Through safe, inclusive, and supportive programs, we inspire youth to lead with integrity, serve their communities, and create positive change for future generations.
We envision a future where every refugee and immigrant young person has the opportunity to learn, lead, and thrive in a safe, inclusive, and supportive community. Through education, mentorship, leadership development, and meaningful engagement, USRWYEC strives to nurture a generation of confident, resilient, and socially responsible leaders who are equipped to achieve their goals, strengthen their families, and make lasting contributions to their communities and beyond.
